A hands-on introduction to polyrhythm, timing and listening while learning African and Afro Caribbean rhythms and their impact on popular music.

The Mobile Alabama Africatown Drummers (MAAD) was founded by Wayne Curtis. The MAAD group continues to travel around the Mobile area performing at several functions and will join us as we enjoy the sounds of vibrations through drums as part of the Summer Library Celebration.
