Adventure begins at your Library with Mobile’s favorite Mardi Gras band will perform songs and share jazz history.

The Excelsior Band has a rich and colorful history rooted in the tradition of carnival, Mobile and the Gulf Coast. The Excelsior Band has been performing since 1883 and was selected as one of the National Endowment for the Arts 2022 Heritage Fellows. Join us to enjoy music by the marching brass band that will consist of 1 trumpet, 1saxophone, 1tuba and two drums during the summer Library Celebration.

Creative hands at work!

Join us in the Meeting Room to work on your Cross Stitch projects, and chat with fellow crafters. Beginners are welcome! If you would like to learn to Cross Stitch, we’d be happy to teach you. Come create unique art of your favorite tv shows, holidays, animes, kpop and more. Pick up a free “Make and Take” kit. This class is designed for adults and teens but children accompanied by adults are also welcome.
