Established in 1902, the Mobile Public Library is located in Mobile, Alabama. It operates as a public library system funded by Mobile County and the city of Saraland, providing services to residents across several Alabama counties, including Mobile, Baldwin, Washington, Clarke, Monroe, Escambia, and Conecuh. The system comprises the Ben May Main Library, 11 additional locations, and a Bookmobile.
The library locations include the Ben May Main Library, Local History and Genealogy Library, Grand Bay Library, Monte L. Moorer/Spring Hill Branch, Parkway Branch, Saraland Public Library, Semmes Regional Library, Theodore Oaks Branch, Trinity Gardens Community Library, Virginia Dillard Smith/Toulminville Branch, and the West Regional Library.
The Mobile Public Library offers a diverse array of services and resources designed to deliver books and educational materials directly to the community. These services include public access to computers, Wi-Fi connectivity, educational and literacy programs, community events, and author presentations.

It achieves this by delivering new books to children in local neighborhoods through the Bookmobile, assisting senior citizens, and offering educational programs to schools in the area.
