The Battle of the Bulge: Uncovering the story of 11 brave soldiers.
During World War II, an impressive 1.2 million African Americans served in the U.S. Armed Forces, demonstrating their bravery and dedication. Among them were The Wereth Eleven: 11 members of the 333rd U.S. Field Artillery Battalion, an all-African American unit. Their inspiring story was rediscovered and brought to life in an ambitious docudrama, ensuring that their contributions are celebrated and remembered.
In collaboration with the 92nd Division Buffalo Soldiers of WWII Film Festival, presented by Legacy 166, we invite you to the Ben May Main Library in Bernheim Hall for a screening of "The Wereth Eleven" (2011, 59 minutes).
